I finally got a chance to sew today. I had to pick up first, and that was a major task. Here is the king sized pillowcase I made for myself.

Red Boots and Snow

I made this project for Dale Anne Potter's January challenge. I might make a few changes to it, if time.

Fly

I bought this shiny silvery paperweight at Michael's. It has the word "fly" written on it. It is slightly scratched. I wonder if it could be painted or something. Also, I would like to know how I might repurpose it for my sister who flies. Anyone have suggestions?????

So Crazy

I spent about 7 hours or so working on the binding of this quilt today. And, the quilt is finished. Yeah!!! I need to make a label before I send it off.

Coupons

Today I decided to test out some of the couponing tips I heard about. I didn't have many coupons and really did not want to do a big shopping trip. So... this is how I started. I bought six items and used three coupons. My total was around 9 something - under $10. I saved over $7.00 (under $8) using my coupons with store's reduced prices. I am a happy camper. I need to find a way to get more coupons.

These are webcam photos. Whew! I have been sewing and sewing and sewing.

Older Projects

I know I posted photos on these projects. However, those were photos from my webcam. I think these photos are better.

Hearts and More Hearts

Blessed are...

those who morn, for they shall be comforted. I made this piece for my God daughter. I enjoyed working on it. Unfortunately, it is a wee bit crocked. Sigh. But... I like it.

Prayer, Candle and Cross Project

I enjoyed the day ....sewing and napping. Here are some photos of the fabric get well greeting project I made today. It was supposed to be a fabric card, but somehow ended up larger than I wanted. Sigh. The printed part is an Orthodox prayer for the sick. The background is hand-dyed fabric. The fabric was dyed at Anna Hergert's home (when she still lived in Calagary) when Suzan and I visited her after one of the Western Retreats. Oh, what great memories! The quilting was done with some gold thread and some silver thread. I used a regular crayon on the candle and flame.

New Year's Day - 2011

I fell asleep this afternoon and had my first dream of the year. It was short. In the dream I was a bride who was wearing a very colorful hat and dress - really wearable art. I saw myself walking down the aisle of a church. I have no clue who the groom might have been. He was not in my dream. My mother was there and my youngest sister was my bride's maid.
