Coffee Cup Cuffs / Sleeves

I made three coffee cup cuffs earlier today. I have 18 more cut out and ready to sew. I am going to take some to the Lavender Festival. I hope they will sell there. I am using Insul-Bright Needled Insulated Lining for the batting. I was able to get 20 out of 1/2 yard.

Sewing Again

I have not been sewing much since I returned from Arizona in April. Mostly I have been reading and volunteering my time with our Eritrean refugees. However, last night I cut out fabric for about a dozen or so table runners, and did the first stitching on nine of them. I think I will be sewing today.

Patches

Here are some of the patches I earned on bicycle rides many years ago. Most of them were with the AYH (American Youth Hostel) Arizona Bicycle Club. One of them is for the Hekaton Classic 25 mile ride in California in 1982. I think it was around Livermore.

The one I am proudest of is the National Century - League of American Wheelman - 100 miles from Tempe, AZ to Casa Grand, AZ and back. I bought my bicycle in March 1978 and did that ride in September of the same year.

Also, there is a patch for Angels Landing in Zion National Park. I did that hike in 1981.

Oh...so many memories.

Tutti Fruiti

This outfit is almost finished. I still need to put the waistband on the bloomers. I have more tutti fruiti / seersucker fabric in other colors and patterns.

Licorice

I love licorice, especially the soft Aussie style. Today we had samples of different flavors at Costco. I have a new favorite flavor now - Lucky Country Aussie Style soft gourmet Marionberry. It is yummy. This company has green apple, strawberry, pineapple, and black cherry, also. Oh...and black.
