Mouse

I made this little mouse the other day.

I was going to wait until I have more mice made and then post them. However, I don't know how soon I will get back to sewing. So I changed my mind. Imagine that! LOL

Crazy Patch

I worked on this crazy patch block last night.

And... I still have more "Merry and Bright" fabric. I simply enjoy it as it is so cheerful and bright.

More Christmas Projects

I started this table runner a long time ago. I sewed on the binding today. And, I finished these two tissue holders this afternoon.

This fabric is from a Moda "Merry and Bright" jelly roll and I still have more of it. LOL

It was kind of a mellow day. I made progress slowly.

With Buttons

I have finished 8 tissues holders. I now have sewn buttons on all of them. I had some golf ball and golf theme buttons for the golf fabric.

More Sewing

I made more tissue holders today - four. I need to select some buttons and add them. Also, I worked on some placemats - not finished yet and a tote that just needs de-threading.

Christmas on My Mind

I have been wanting to make one of these tissue holders for a long time. It is for the regular sized tissues. You take the tissues out of the box and slip them in the holder. My measurements were a wee bit short on my first one - pictured here. So I just folded over the ends of the tissues.

I think these will make great Christmas gifts. They are easy to make. They are light weight and will not cost an arm and a leg to send.

I just finished this Christmas table runner that I started last year.

This afternoon I went to see the movie "Julie and Julia." It was funny and I enjoyed it.

Bonnet Project

This afternoon I went to Barnes and Noble. While there I saw the July 2009 issue of British Patchwork & Quilting. I bought it because of one of the articles - Roses from the Heart - Bonnets - A Memorial to Women Deportees by Dianne Huck. It is about the 25,566 convict women who were sent to Australia between 1788 and 1853.

The project is asking for women to make "bonnets" to represent each of these convict women. See: www.christinahenri.com.au.

I think I want to make a bonnet. I think I will email Christina and see how many bonnets they have now.
