New to me...

A couple of weeks ago I bought a sewing machine cabinet at a junk shop in Illinois for $45.  Today I bought a wicker chair that was on Craig's List for $10.  I had to drive to Asbury, Iowa to pick it up.  While in the Dubuque area I did some shopping as well.  Also,  Deb found this folding metal chair at St. Vinny's in Monroe for $5.  Everything needs to be painted.

A new skirt

I made this skirt today for a woman in Madison.  I really like the blue cotton.  It is easy to cut and sew.  It has a nice texture.   I think it is a size 7 women's.

2 Skirts and 2 pillowcases

This fabric is called, "Crafty Cloe."  It is so soft.  I love the texture.  I bought a few yards of it when I lived in Twin Falls.  There is only a little of it left.

Four skirts

I made four little skirts yesterday to send to a friend for her daughter.  The green skirt and the owl print skirt are corduroy.  The pink and zebra stripes is denim and cotton.  The ice cream print is cotton.  I bought a little shirt that I will send along, too.  It was $1.24.  Great price.

And....yes... more skirts...

The aqua and pink print skirt is one of my favorites.  The shoe/boot skirt is made of soft flannel.  The blue skirt is cotton.  The pink skirt is denim.  The patchwork is similar to a twill.

Leg warmers

I made these leg warmers, too.  I will be making more.  They are fast and easy to make.  I know they will help to keep little girls warm in our cold Wisconsin weather.

More skirts

These skirts are for a girl in Madison, Wisconsin.  I am "Paying it Forward."  Blue denim.  Printed corduroy.  Pink denim with cotton print.

Skirts

I have been making skirts for girls.  These are skirts that will be delivered tomorrow along with 3 pillowcases.  They are for a family that lost everything in a fire.

Camper fabric pillowcase.

I am just about finished with a regular size pillow pillowcase.  I am going to make more.  This is camper fabric with a row of ric rak.

Flannel pillowcases

I made two king size flannel pillowcases today.  One is for me to use.  The other one is to gift or sell.  The background is purple.  The print is penquins and snowflakes.  I love flannel.  It is so cozy and warm.

Happy New Year - 2016

I am a little late, but I wish everyone a very Happy New Year.  Gee, is it 2016 already?  How time flies.

I sold or gave away most of my furniture, etc. and then packed up and moved to Wisconsin in October.

I still love to sew and quilt.  I hope I can sell some of my creations.  I want to get a little camper or RV....really a glamper.  I know it is just a dream now.
