And...more bags...

I love the beads on the white and aqua and blue bag. I bought the bead trim last summer in Saskatoon, SK on sale at Fabricland. I used some on a Christmas stocking. I had just enough (yeah!) for this little project.
I will probably give my sister the golf fabric bag with straps. She is a golfer. It can be used for a water bottle or golf tees or whatever.
Should I keep the white denim with the gray and white batik for me? Maybe. I forgot to take the paper off the iron on interfacing... and sewed it inside. Sigh.

FQ's and more sewing

I bought some batik FQ's today. And here they are.

Mamacrafty gave me a lovely cosmetic bag in the Stocking Exchange 2009. (Mama's is the one on the left in the second photo. Mine is the one on the right.) She inspired me to make one myself. It required me to overcome my fear of sewing in zippers. Mine isn't perfect, but it works. I think I am going to make more small bags with zippers.

I made this little fabric bucket with an animal print and a zebra striped fabric. Also, here are more fabric containers - underconstruction. I have not yet finished them. I will add straps and some embellishments.

And....More...

Yes, I am still working on fabric containers. Here are a few more.

Sewing along

This morning I made this fabric bucket style container with handles. I just used iron on interfacing for both the outside fabric and the lining. It was easy to make.

Another one...

Here is my second fabric basket today. This one does not have handles. I think I will embellish it with buttons or yoyos or something.

A Little Fabric Basket

I have been wanting to make one of these little fabric baskets for a long time. So today I made one using a kitty fabric and a small print in white, blue and green. I think I will make more in a variety of sizes.

More 5 Stone Bags

I now have 130 little 5 Stone bags. I am having fun making them. Also, I have finished 19 little drawstring bags to put the 5 Stone bags in.

Five Stones

I made some of the little bags and filled them will plastic pellets that I had leftover from a dollmaking class several years ago.

Japanese Fabric

I made this little bag today. Keiko gave me the melon print when I saw her in Saskatoon in the summer of 2009. I had the black and white fabric in my stash as well as the lining. The bag is lightly quilted.
